Canada’s brides to be will no longer have to make the trek to New York to get the famous Kleinfeld’s dress shopping experience. Hudson’s Bay has said “yes” to the dress and is moving into the luxury wedding gown business. They plan to open a 20,000 sq.ft Kleinfeld boutique in May 2014 at the Queen St. location in downtown Toronto.
With over 20,000 sq ft., more than double the size of many clothing specialty shops, you’re sure to find the wedding dress you have always imagined. They will also be carrying many of the other resources needed to pull off your big day such as shoes, gift registry, attendant gifts and even wedding bands. David Dixon, pictured above, debuted his bridal line that will be housed in the store at Toronto Fashion Week last week. Dixon, who is a veteran in the Canadian fashion industry, is excited about being part of such a huge development!

Ronald Rothstein, co-owner of Kleinfelds, said gowns will probably start at $1,500, though most will probably range from $2,500 to $7,500. With 60 designers, prices can go as high as $30,000.
Hudson Bay will be putting on exclusive trunk shows in store, where you will have an incredible opportunity to view, try on and even purchase your gown before it hits the racks. At each one of these events they will be featuring a designer and their latest collection for one to three days starting on May 9th, 2014
Now that Kleinfeld’s is moving to Canada does that mean its famous reality TV show will be moving with it? As of right now there are no plans to bring the show to Kleinfeld’s Canada location, but we are all hoping (and praying) this will change and us Canadians will get the chance to be a part of this incredibly popular series!
