Since Summer has arrived here in Oakville (err, we think?), we came up with a few of our favourite brews of the summer to help keep you refreshed and hydrated. Let’s face it- there is nothing better than sitting on a patio with a cold beverage!

(from left to right)

This specialty beer is only brewed seasonal so knowing that we can only sip it during certain times makes us appreciate it! It is also crafted with “visions of summer” in mind which is something we like. They used to only sell this bottle in 750 ml bottle but now they are branching out and selling it in smaller sizes! Very key.

TASTE: “Perfect balance of wheat, barley and subtle hopping makes this an intriguingly aromatic, flavourful and sessionable summer wheat beer.”

Call us superficial but the label alone makes us want to crack this beer open. So snazzy. It is apparently a good beer for “Champagne” drinkers which means we don’t need to hear anything else.

TASTE:  “A subtle, spicy white pepper note, a hint of citrus from the orange peel and a creamy vanilla finish.”

This beer sells like hot cakes…and we can single-handedly vouch for that! We went to grab some from the Toronto based Brewery on Ossington and they were not only sold out but they did not know when they were getting more in. Thankfully, that was a while ago. Have one at their restaurant which is attached or buy a case from the brewery!

TASTE:  “Hazy pale pour with thin white head and lace. Wheat, grassy aroma. Crisp fresh beer. Herb spice feel.”

Beau’s Natural Brewery is family run and local. While we do love us some Stella’s from time to time, there is nothing better than supporting our own!

TASTE“Interwoven malt and hop flavours, subtle fruit flavours and a crisp, lingering finish.”

Originating from Quebec, this specialty beer just won an award at the World Beer Awards ( Yes those exist) for World’s Best Belgian Style Witbier. It was chosen from over 600 beers from 32 countries. Impressive huh!?

TASTE: “Wheat and subtle spices blanketed in citrus flavors reminiscent of orange and lemon”

**All beers are available at select Beer Stores, LCBO’s and local breweries
